There is a crazy amount of snow over here right now. I think it started to snow again last night and it hasn’t stopped since. Walking 12,400 steps in the snow is exhausting! Well, I didn’t walk all of it in the snow, but it was enough.
When Tim posted a picture of his new boots, I thought it would be a worth a try to have a look in one of our sporting goods stores for a pair of hiking boots. I always have trouble finding shoes that fit, especially now that I have to wear the inserts. What I am wearing now is not really ideal for cold, wet, snowy weather. Today was a good day, because I actually found two pairs!
They are from Moorhead (which is usually quite expensive) and were 85€ for both, which is less than half the price they usually are. Strike!
The high top pair will come in handy in February because I’m going on vacation!!! I have two weeks off, and I will go to Oberhof with my sister for five days. She booked the hotel today. We are planning on relaxing, maybe hiking and – if the snow gods are willing – try cross-country skiing. I’m so excited! It’s only five days, but I never had a real vacation since I was still living at home, and my sister was too. She is six years older than me and moved out at 18…
Sounds like you are overdue for a vacation! I hope you and your sister have a great time! It’s nice that you scored 2 weeks off of work.
We got a good bit of snow here, too. It looks so pretty but it majorly sucks for running and driving. I’m ready for it to melt!*
The two weeks are actually what was left of last year’s vacation. I had to cancel one week last August
As long as we have snow in Oberhof, I don’t really care what happens to it anywhere else
